Carrot Cake Ice Cream

Craving ice cream, but not craving extra calories? Well, I found a solution! For awhile at HEB now, I've seen the Blue Bunny products, but haven't tried many of them. I've had some of their Sweet Freedom cones and bars, but had never tried any of their actual ice cream.

Awhile back, I was trying to decide on what to use for my daily treat for the upcoming week, and came across their pints of ice cream in the dairy section. If you're like me, having a huge sweet tooth and walking through the ice cream aisle can be pretty tough! Not only are you surrounded by so many yummy choices, but it can be difficult to find a healthier option to satisfy your cravings.

When I walked up to the section with the Blue Bunny pints, I carefully looked at each flavor, as well as the nutrition information. It's a good thing I normally do my grocery shopping alone, because I'm very indecisive! Finally, I had it narrowed down to red velvet and carrot cake, and finally went with the 24 Karat Carrot Cake.

Not only was this ice cream a great low calorie option for each serving, 130 calories for 1/2 cup, but it tastes amazing! Not only do you get the ice cream, but you also have cream cheese frosting, as well as cake pieces, swirled in. Yummmm! I will definitely be trying more of their flavors!

P.S. Who's ready for Thanksgiving?!
